Pummelo Yogurt Bowl

This recipe is the final in a series of four. I like to make things fairly quickly and easily, so all of my pummelo recipes should not take too long at all. Check out the rest of the series in Noble Citrus' recipe section.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of yogurt or a single-serving yogurt cup. I used vanilla-flavored Icelandic-style yogurt.
  • 4 Slices of Florida Starburst Pummelo
  • 1 Handful of granola. I used pumpkin granola.

Start with the yogurt at the bottom of the bowl. I transferred the yogurt into the bowl from the cup it came in. This makes it easier to add the ingredients. Place the sliced Florida Starburst Pummelo on one side, and sprinkle the granola on the other. Scoop and enjoy. I would not add any additional sweetener to this dish. The Florida Starburst Pummelo is very sweet and covers the full flavor.

Oranges vs. Tangerines Per Capita was 80/20–Now is 60/40 (and Gaining)

According to the USDA, the Florida tangerine citrus group “has soared in popularity, with per capita availability more than doubling between 2000 and 2022. This broad group includes tangelos, mandarins, clementines, and traditional tangerines. A comparison of per capita fresh tangerine and fresh orange availability over the last 20 years shows the share going to tangerines increasing from 20 to 40 percent.”

The article goes on to say that growth of the U.S. tangerine market coincides with the launch of marketing campaigns for easy-peel seedless mandarins…”
