Carol and Lori Roe, owners of Noble Foodservice

In the 1940s, few women attended college and even fewer worked as professionals. But that didn’t stop Marjorie Roe.
Armed with an accounting degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she became the state’s first woman certified public accountant in 1946.

Inspired by her leadership, Marjorie’s sons launched a business on the strength of her recipe for tangerine juice, our family’s favorite that the experts said couldn’t be produced on a commercial scale. Today, Noble Juice produces five varieties of premium organic and six varieties of all-natural juice annually.

Marjorie Roe also inspired her daughters-in-law to form one of the few women-owned businesses in the juice industry. Four years ago, Carol and Lori Roe launched Noble Food Service, marketing a full line of Noble Juice to the food-service industry. As a result, their company has helped drive an increase in the distribution of Noble Juice, which is sold throughout the United States and Canada.
